021 Gallery is hosting Doyeon Gwon’s solo exhibition <Hovering> from January 25^th to March 16^th, 2022.
Doyeon Gwon calls back fractions of her memories and restructures them into photography. She brings the objects from her memories to interact with the world she faces today. In this exhibition, the artist will showcase the series ‘SF’ and ‘Traveller Novice,’ which both started from interesting concepts. Based on the early unpowered aircraft from the past, the artist incarnates the imagination and the questions the scientists at the time had about the aircraft through photos and videos. Through this exhibition, we hope you will experience the curiosity of human beings the artist researched and discovered, as well as the dimension of time from her imagination and reflection.
